Weekeye's website reader — it visits a site only when its owner pastes the address into Weekeye, and it reads a handful of public pages.
WeekEyeBot identifies itself as WeekEyeBot/1.0 (+https://www.weekeye.com/pages/bot). It runs only on request: when a Weekeye customer pastes their website address to describe their business, the bot reads a few public pages — home, about, services, contact, team, opening hours — to understand the organization. It never crawls the web on its own and never follows links off the site.
The read is small and bounded: at most 12 pages (6 for a visitor who has not signed in), 1 MB per page, 8 seconds per page and 45 seconds in total, and the same site is not read again for 10 minutes. Raw HTML is not stored; Weekeye keeps only the judged facts (opening hours, branches, services, languages) with a short quote and the page each came from.
